My son with allergies to gluten, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, and peanuts just finished 1st grade and is now entering 2nd. He attends an amazing school in the bay area that has parent-led cooking, gardening, art, and science enrichments. Due to the extend of his allergies, I lead the cooking program for his class, and I cater each week’s cooking project to be allergy-free, vegan, non-GMO, minimal to no sugar, free of artificial flavors and colors, and organic the majority of the time. Each project ties in closely with the curriculum, the season/holiday, or the gardening program.
